Lifelong experience rooted in horticulture
My name is Jason Isherwood, and my journey with trees began at a young age on my family’s specialist conifer nursery, where we planted, nurtured, and sold over one million trees. That early foundation in horticulture shaped a lifelong commitment to tree care. After completing a Higher National Diploma in Horticulture at Myerscough College, I went on to spend 13 years running a tree surgery company, carrying out everything from pruning and felling to full site clearances across Greater Manchester. In 2022, an injury took me away from physical work — but not from the tree world. During recovery, I retrained in tree surveying and arboricultural consultancy, investing in the highest industry qualifications and continuing the journey I started decades ago.
